Looking for something a little different to do this summer?

Sometimes the best memories come from random roadside stops, quirky photo ops, and the kind of places that make you say, “Wait…this is actually in Arkansas?”

From giant statues to strange local landmarks, here are a few quirky Arkansas roadside attractions that make for fun little day trips from the River Valley.

🥜 1. Giant Mr. Peanut — Fort Smith

4020 Planters Rd, Fort Smith

You may have driven by this one without even noticing.

Fort Smith is home to a giant Mr. Peanut statue, standing guard like an oversized snack mascot. It’s quick, quirky, and honestly kind of fun once you know it’s there.

Best for: A quick local stop or weird photo op.

🥒 2. The World’s Largest Christmas Pickle — Fort Smith

7300 Wells Lake Rd, Fort Smith

Yes, this is real.

And yes, Arkansas apparently has a giant Christmas pickle.

If you've never seen it before, this strange little roadside attraction makes for one of those “why does this exist?” moments that somehow makes road trips more fun.

Best for: Families, curious locals, and anyone who appreciates weird roadside finds.

🍺 3. Giant Budweiser Can — Near Lavaca

Highway 22 near Lavaca

Some roadside attractions are famous.

Others are simply giant cans of Budweiser sitting in rural Arkansas.

If you’re headed toward Lavaca or just out for a Sunday drive, this odd little stop adds a bit of roadside charm to the day.

Best for: Scenic drives and random detours.

🦃 4. Giant Turkey & Rooster — Lincoln

2265 E. Pridemore Dr, Lincoln

Northwest Arkansas has its fair share of quirky surprises, and this oversized turkey and rooster combo definitely qualifies.

It’s one of those roadside stops that feels straight out of an old-school family road trip.

Best for: Families already heading toward Northwest Arkansas.

🐷 5. Giant Dancing Hog — Fayetteville

4148 MLK Jr Blvd, Fayetteville

Only in Arkansas.

This giant dancing hog somehow manages to be both weird and completely fitting for Razorback country.

If you're already making a Northwest Arkansas day trip, this one deserves a quick stop.

Best for: Razorback fans and quirky photo ops.

🪓 6. Giant Axe — Bentonville

2909 NE J St, Bentonville

Need a quick excuse to stretch your legs while in Northwest Arkansas?

The giant axe in Bentonville is a fun roadside stop if you're already shopping, exploring, or spending the day up north.

Best for: Pairing with a Bentonville day trip.

🐝 7. Giant BeeBee Gun — Rogers

Daisy Airgun Museum, 202 W. Walnut St., Rogers

This one actually doubles as a pretty fun stop.

The Daisy Airgun Museum in Rogers features a giant BB gun outside and makes for an interesting visit if you have kids or enjoy Americana-style museums.

Best for: Families and curious history lovers.

Bonus Stop: The Giant Hornet — Eureka Springs

184 Spring Street, Eureka Springs

If you're already planning a Eureka Springs weekend, keep an eye out for the giant hornet.

Weird? Absolutely.

Worth a picture? Also yes.

Sometimes the best Arkansas adventures aren’t big attractions at all — they’re the weird little stops you discover along the way.
